Intensive courses are flexible. Depending on the individual person, they can  be used to drastically condense the length of time taken to accumulate the required amount of recommended hours  to gain enough experience,accumulating the recommended amount of hours that increase experience  and road safety knowledge. This way, students can be ready for the practical test within a week.  

The practical test does not necessarily have to be booked for the same week. By delaying it for a week or two you will find the pressure is taken off, you'll enjoy the driving course and have a better chance of retaining the knowledge. Some people prefer this system and reserve the latter end of the course for it leading up to the test.

Intensive courses can also start on a Monday and finish with the test on Friday if desired, subject to availability.

Please note that the Theory test must be taken and passed before commencing intensive courses to enable the test to be booked in advance.

The Driving Standard Agency recommend that the student has  at least 30 - 40 hours driving experience prior to attemping the practical driving test to aquire a high standard of driving and a better chance of obtaining a driving license at their first attempt.
